Calibration and Recertification Services

Calibration

MDI offers calibration services that are traceable to NIST. Calibration is done using precision deadweight and a calibrated arm. MDI recommends that its torque sensors be calibrated at least once per year (depending on sensor usage). The sensor can be calibrated clockwise or counterclockwise. This service determines the exact level of accuracy and operational performance of the sensor.

Recertification

MDI’s recertification services test the sensor's accuracy and make any necessary adjustment to reset the sensor to meet all of its original specifications. In addition, the quality of the sensor is examined during the process to assure that when the sensor is returned it is operating correctly.
